Meet Ms. Liz
ZGDC Owner & Instructor
Miss Liz has been dancing since the age of three and has trained in Philadelphia, New York, Florida, and New Jersey. Her earliest training began with her Aunt Elaine, a studio owner and performer who traveled the world with Miss Liz’s mother in U.S.O. shows. From a young age, Miss Liz was immersed in classical jazz, ballet, and tap.
As a teen, Miss Liz moved to Orlando, Florida, where she studied at Columbus Academy of Dance and became part of the Disney dance community, performing at Walt Disney World from 1980–1982. After returning to Philadelphia, she continued her training at Broadway Dance Center in Manhattan and Koresh Dance Center in Philadelphia, studying with respected artists including Rhapsody, Frank Hatchett, Jermaine Brown, Bev Brown, Rennie Harris, and many more.
Miss Liz holds a B.S. in Elementary Education with a minor in French from Penn State University. She has taught dance for over 35 years in the Bucks and Montgomery County area and is widely recognized for her award-winning choreography, gentle teaching style, and lasting impact on generations of dancers.
In the fall of 2001, Miss Liz opened her own studio, Elizabeth’s Studio of Dance, which later became the studio we all know and love today: Zero Gravity Dance Company.
Over the years, Miss Liz has trained thousands of students, helping many continue their dance journeys at respected colleges, universities, and performing arts programs. Her heart for teaching, passion for dance, and dedication to her students are at the center of the ZGDC community.
